Hip Hop Album Sales: The Week Ending 8/5/2012

Rick Ross’ “God Forgives, I Don’t” takes #1 almost 200,000 units ahead of #2. La Coka Nostra’s “Masters Of The Dark Arts” lives up to its name, as Aer offers a successful “Bright Side.” 
As predicted, Rick Ross scored a #1 with God Forgives, I Don’t. The Miami, Florida rapper’s latest Def Jam Records release is his fourth overall #1, after 2010’s Teflon Don missed the mark at #2.
Hardcore Hip Hop collective La Coka Nostra also debuted on the Top 200. Ill Bill, Slaine, Danny Boy and DJ Lethal’s second studio album, Masters Of The Dark Arts followed the first’s charting appearance three years ago. With members from Non-Phixion, House Of Pain and Special Teamz, the latest lineup no longer includes Everlast. READ MORE
